Inspiring Change Manchester

We explore innovative ways of working, to help people with multiple and complex needs overcome barriers to reaching their full potential

During our eight-year programme (which spans 2014 - 2022), we will have meaningful contact with at least 600 people in Manchester. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s 'Fulfilling Lives' initiative, we work with people with three or more complex needs (problem drug or alcohol use, mental health or emotional well-being, homelessness and offending). Most people we support will historically have struggled to access or benefit from support services, and many will be living chaotic lives.

Co-production is key to the our work. We design and develop our services with local people who have experienced multiple needs and support.

We lead the programme, but work with partners to deliver the core elements – Back on Track, Self-Help Services and Community-Led Initiatives. We also work with many other local organisations which share our ambition to achieve real, positive change for people with multiple and complex needs.

I’ve been supported in every single step
of my recovery.

Darren, former service user and now peer mentor
